Mercury Retrograde in Libra

Mercury goes retrograde three times a year. This year it has been focusing on the air signs. Aquarius in January, Gemini in May and now in Libra. When it is retrograde in the air signs we tend it to work on our communication and relationship skills.

This is a time when we will reassess the meaning of relationships in our life. We will re-evaluate our communication skills. If you were born with your Sun in the sign of Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius you will find these next 21, Sept. 17th – Oct. 9th to be a very significant cycle for you. The re-evaluation of relationships and communications will be important for all of us during this time, but especially for Gemini, Libra and Aquarius Sun signs.

When Mercury is retrograde it is a great time to play catch up. You will want to do anything that begins with a “re.” Reread, rewrite, reevaluate, revisit, rethink, reorganize, repair, and/or reprocess.

This is not a particularly auspicious time to begin anything new. It is a good time to research and plan for something new to begin after Mercury goes direct. You will want to check and recheck your reservations if you are planning to take a vacation during this time. It is best to avoid signing legal contracts during this time, as things may not be as they appear. If you must sign a contract, take time to read the fine print. Do not take anything for granted.

Mercury is the messenger. The minor irritations that arise most often during the air cycle are, un-kept appointments, lost documents, faulty machinery, broken promises, well-intentioned but misleading information.

Astrology can be a wonderful tool to help you plan and schedule important events in your life: a wedding, surgery dates, vacation, etc.
