The new moon will be in Scorpio @ 11:38 PM EDST
I always enjoy and look forward to the new moon each month because it’s about setting your intentions and starting something new, but this one may bring some challenges with it.
The 24-hour period prior to the new moon is known as the balsamic or dark of the moon. It is a time when the moon has no light. This is a time that is used best for contemplating and completion, as you plan and prepare for the new moon. Energy and motivation may run low so allow yourself the luxury of enjoying the break during the balsamic moon.
New and exciting opportunities await
A new moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of another new 28-day cycle. This new moon is opposing Uranus giving us a burst of energy and initiative. This is an excellent time for making a fresh start, turning over a new leaf, or start a new project. Remember to write down your intentions list for that which you want to manifest into your life. You can also question old habits, behaviors, and beliefs as you search for new and inventive ways to make progress.
When the moon is in Scorpio and especially when it is a new moon, it brings out our passions and desires. People often become aggressive, critical, impatient and moody. There is a noticeable intensity and a heightened sensitivity to personal offenses or insults. So you may want to tread lightly and try not to take anything to heart.
This could be an especially challenging new moon for relationships. An increased need for personal freedom and greater independence could create distance between partners and even separation. It is important to maintain a give and take attitude if you want to keep the peace.
The best way to deal with this unpredictable influence is flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing conditions. Although it may be initially upsetting and you may resist change, it will offer a better way forward if you keep an open mind.
More fuel in the fire – In addition to the new moon in Scorpio opposing Uranus, which can be challenging in of itself, we will have Mars, the energizer bunny in Libra squaring Saturn, the disciplinarian, tester and teach on this new moon. The Mars-Saturn connection is indicative of frustrating or limiting circumstances. May I remind you that patience is your friend during the weekend of this new moon.
So what is going on in your life? What new and exciting things are your planning to start with this new moon? I always enjoy hearing from you and respond to all communications.
