December 6th – Mercury goes into Capricorn giving us a sense of structure and organization in our thought process.
December 7th – Full Moon in Gemini @ 11:08 PM ET All full moons are about the expression of emotion, and the completion of emotional cycles. And we all know that the holidays can be a very emotional time. With this full moon there’s a sense that it’s time for a change. This full moon in Gemini is making an exact connection with Mars in Gemini, bringing about lively energy and spontaneity Gemini changes. You may have a desire for change on a whim without a lot of planning. This can be a good thing if you feel that you have been stuck in a rut, or you may need to stop and take a breath before you jump.
December 21st – Winter Solstice – the Sun will enter Capricorn at 4:48 PM. This is the shortest day of the year. The earth is tilted as far away from the Sun as possible, which means that the Sun’s path across the sky is as low in the sky as it can be in daylight hours. The good news is that the days are going to start getting longer.
December 21st – 22nd – Balsamic Moon: i.e., dark of the moon. This is a time for closure, not a good time to initiate something new. This is typically a low energy and motivation time. Rest and think about your intentions and what you plan to set into motion with the new moon.
December 23rd – New Moon in Capricorn @ 5:17 PM ET – This strong Capricorn energy will give us a chance to create some serious order in our lives. It’s time to make some solid plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings after the January 6th full moon in Cancer. One of Capricorn’s “lessons” is acceptance of the concept that reasonable boundaries and rules can offer us freedom–-freedom from worry and chaos, for example. Setting goals for ourselves allows us to focus on what really matters. Tis the season to set your goals.
